The Evolution of This Website

This site is the newest stage in the evolution of my former website, Woj’s Twisted World of Wonders, which was online from 1996 – 2001.

That original site was my launch pad for learning HTML and Web page design. I taught myself the basics of HTML and combined it with my skills in design to build a simple site. The site had little real purpose other than to share with the world many of the things I love and just to be a sounding board for me.

The site served its purpose until my skills in website development evolved to more of what they are today. I removed that site from the web when I became too busy with work and life to keep the site fresh and my website creation skills had evolved. I no longer felt the site was a good reflection of my true skills. In fact, when I taught a course I wrote called “Introduction to HTML and Web Page Design” for my then employer, marchFIRST (2000), I used my own site as a “bad” example of the way to design a website.

At the same time that I had that first site up and running, I also wrote an Internet e-Zine called The World According To Woj. That publication had a readership of 200-300 internationally and was published regularly for about two years. The World According To Woj was registered with the U.S. Library of Congress under ISSN #1099-5854.

Today, The World According To Woj has evolved to its present form, a weblog or Blog. It's currently used as a place for me to share information about my life with my friends and colleagues.
