Hi,
Me again...
Well, the job search is coming along. The market is picking up a little after the holidays...I've had a few more interviews. Yeah! The sitting around at home all day scanning job ads and applying to jobs is wearing me thin. My stress levels are up way higher than they ever were on any consulting project. But, I still have some hair left. :) I'm also hanging by a thread onto the idea of still getting my house.
This whole experience has been like a waterfall. When I was first laid off, I had car problems and needed $450 worth of repairs. Since I didn't get a new job fast enough, I'm in jeopardy of losing my house (I can't close on it until I have an offer letter and income). Christmas came and I had to incur more credit card debt to get through it.
Today, my computer has decided that it won't boot up. It has decided that my monitor is not allowed to communicate with it. So, I can't see what's happening with the bootup process. I've been dealing with a recurring hard drive problem for some months now but, because of my lack of income, I've been putting off replacing it. I've been fixing it and now, it's decided not to work at all. I will have to bite the bullet and replace the hard drive. Hopefully, the repair technician will be able to setup another hard drive to boot from and then save my data from this hard drive. Who knows?...
I guess, when it rains, it pours!
Ciao for now,
Kevin
