Evolution takes place as we speak

What does that mean? That means I'm building more and more into this site as you read this statement....therefore, it evolves. You can come back tomorrow and the site will have evolved a little more.

I should note to you that I am a User Interface Developer by trade...I build web pages and application interfaces...I write the code. This is not the same as a designer. I don't design too much. I've designed this site (...and a few others) and it probably shows that I am not a top-notch designer. But, I can code and you'll usually find me eyeballs deep in code writing the little things that make a website or application interactive.

I prefer to hand code using the most basic of tools. My tools are HTML, JavaScript, DHTML, XHTML, CSS, and my own little style of CSSP that I affectionately call "CSSP-2P" (This is not an officially recognized name or technique in the industry. It's just what I do and what I call it. Or, as my friend Dan Lueck once said to me, it's "the voodoo that you do so well" and this is the name I've given this particular voodoo). This site is woven with these simple tools and techniques. So, hopefully, you don't have JavaScript turned off on your browser or you'll miss some fun code.

In addition to programming, it should probably be noted that I earned my Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Journalism with a minor in Business. I had two emphases under Journalism in the areas of Public Relations (PR) and Photojournalism (I completed all required coursework for both emphases). Now, when I graduated, I received my official BA in Journalism/PR but I received two signed diplomas from the college. To this day, I don't know whether they gave me two BAs for the two different emphases or whether it was a common practice to send two copies of your diploma or whether it was just a big mistake. But, I have two official diplomas from Northern Illinois University. Go figure!
